The home dates from 1860, created in the romantic style of the time, with some spectacular Baroque inspiration. Blue, yellow, and white azulejos are used to depict and frame busts, imitating marble. The tiles were painted by Luís Ferreira, a famous Lisbon painter, and produced at the Viúva Lamego Ceramics Factory.
